Knots for kids

Knots4Kids, Inc. (also referred as “K4K”) is a not-for-profit organization focused on delivering programs that support the needs of young men in the areas of health and wellness, education, and personal development. We establish strategic alliances with youth organizations, churches and individuals who share our vision in making a difference in our community. Through our “Tailored” programs, mentors teach life skills to young men between the ages of 13 and 17 within the Jacksonville and Greater Northeast Florida Communities.

In 2004, Efferem O. Williams, President of K4K started the dynamic company, Knotacess Neckwear. The company offers stylishly designed bowties, ties and scarves for men and women. Always active in his community, Efferem desired to start his own organization focusing on helping young men in the community. That passion of wanting to make a difference led Efferem to combine his love for neckwear with his desire to help young men in the community. Teaching young men how to tie a tie was the catalyst to starting Knots4Kids, Inc. in 2007.

With the help of committed volunteers, K4K provides fun-filled modules designed to provide real life lessons that will make a difference in each young man. Our goal is to “Sew into the Lives of Young Men” by sharing lessons to help specifically in the areas of health & wellness, education and personal development. We work with various local organizations and churches including:

  • The Bridge of Northeast Florida
  • Communities in Schools
  • PAL
  • Family Support Services of North Florida
  • BMLR Properties, Inc.
