Kareem Jordan, Ph.D. Senior Advisory Council Chairman
 
 
Dr. Kareem Jordan is currently a professor in the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice at the University of North Florida (UNF).  He earned is PhD in criminology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and his teaching and research specializations surround juvenile delinquency and violence, risk/protective factors for delinquent behavior, and youth prevention programs.  Prior to teaching at UNF, Dr. Jordan was a mobile therapist/behavior specialist consultant.  In this capacity, he designed and directed the implementation of behavior modification plans that were individualized to children with severe psychiatric and/or behavioral diagnoses and those at risk for out-of-home placement.
 

 Dr. Jordan is very active in the community; he is also on the Board of Directors for the Hubbard House (domestic violence shelter); he has served on the Helping At-Risk Students Achieve initiative with the United Way of Northeast Florida; he has done work with Inside/Outside, Inc. (Jailed Juvenile Program); and he is an active member of the local alumni chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
